Alert Program: The Alert service is how
you let a friend know that you are alright today. It is passive in the sense that it does not bother your friend if
you are alright. The Alert service sends an email to your friend only if you are unable to access your computer.
We all have different schedules. Some are morning people, some are evening people. So you set the time
of the day that is most comfortable to you. Also, one may not need this service for every day of the
week. You set the days of the week that you wish the service to be active.
Browsing the Site: The Minor's Minder
website uses dynamic web pages. The page does not exist until a user attempts to access the page, and then the page
is custom built for the user. Because of this, the "forward" and "back" arrows on some browsers, like Microsoft
Internet Explorer, do not always work on this site. Just use the navigation buttons that are always available
on the web page.
If a navigation button doesn't show up it is because that page is not permissible at that time. Some pages can be
accessed only if one is not logged in while other pages can be accessed only if one is logged in. If you have a
problem: "Just use the navigation buttons."
Contact: The only way to contact me is
via email. This website was started because I am hard of hearing which makes telephone conversations difficult for
me - but my eyes are good!
Enrollment - Easy as ABC:
A. Go to the "Enroll" form and give five (5) items of information about yourself:
1) name, 2) password, 3) email address, 4) zip code and 5) your time zone. That it all that I need to know about
you.
B. After the enrollment is accepted, go to the "Alert" page and let me know under what conditions you want a family
members or a friend to call you if you do not access Minor's Minder within the time limit that you requested.
C. After completing the "Alert" menu go to the "Reminder" page and set the items for which you wish to receive an
email tickler. That's all folks - Easy as A•B•C.
Log In: A "Log In" button is available
on every page if the user is not logged in. A link to the "Log In" menu is available in the footer of every page
if the user is not logged in. The Minor's Minder program identifies you through your name and your password.
To make this site senior-friendly, neither the name nor the password is case sensitive. Of course, one
cannot log in unless one is a member.
Password: Make it simple for yourself,
short and easy to remember. The reason for the password is to distinguish you from others with whom you share
your name. It also helps us to identify you should you make a type in you name. The password is case
insensitive.
Problems: Should you have a problem
that you cannot resolve on your own through the information on the website, then please email Minor. Email links
to Minor is sprinkled throughout the web pages.

Reminder: The Reminder function can help
a member remember up to ten (10) items. The Reminders can be weekly, monthly or yearly. The program requires

weekly, monthly or a yearly event.
Unresolved Problems: Should there be a
problem that you cannot resolve through the instructions on the web site, please email me. You will be helping both of
us. Only by letting me know what stumbling blocks exist in the program can the problem be fixed for others.
